Fern (and John below) practicing their multi-pitch leading skills while under a guides' supervision on Chouinard's Gully, Adirondacks, NY
As the days get shorter, the onset of winter brings with it the cold temperatures needed to get the ice growing – providing us with spectacular and exciting climbing. Many people not only find it a great way to enjoy the cold, but also a great way to stay in shape!
We provide ice climbing instruction for all abilities, from basic ice climbing skills and steep ice and mixed techniques, to leading. Below are the courses we offer to help you get out on your own adventures.
Intermediate Ice Climbing Skills
Advanced Ice Climbing Skills – Leading
We provide instruction locally in the Catskills and Adirondacks, and also during our guided trips to areas like Crawford Notch in the White Mountains of NH – where you can gain experience while exploring some different locations.
We supply all the necessary technical climbing equipment needed – please check out the Gear List specific for your activity for what is actually supplied and what you’ll be required to bring.
